Sir Cliff Richard is set to release a new Christmas single as he makes his musical comeback.

It’s Better To Dream, which will be released on iTunes later this month, is a festive mix of an original song from the star’s new album Just… Fabulous Rock ‘n’ Roll.

The record will be the 76-year old’s first release since an investigation into child sex allegations was dropped in October.

Sir Cliff has launched legal action against the BBC and South Yorkshire Police for alleged collusion in the case.

The singer always maintained his innocence but retreated from public life for two years as he waited to hear whether legal action would be taken against him, resulting in albums and a biography being postponed.
